Theology and Practice

Elunian clergy have a reputation for being either incurable gossips or aloof book heads; Elune sanctions both. Elunians tend to be inquisitive, seeking out the unknown or mysterious. Elunians tend to document everything; most of their temples are virtual libraries of arcane facts. Most priests have the Lore or Sage skill; some also possess Alchemy.

The Lady of a Thousand Eyes is very popular among the scholars, the literate, and mages. While this segment of the population is small, it is also influential, making the Elunian church more prominent than its numbers might otherwise allow. Nevertheless, Elunian churches are still uncommon in the countryside.

Elunian clergy are eagerly sought as advisers, ministers, scribes, and sages by nobles everywhere...

...especially in Tamplonia. The Elunian church is quite dominant in that land, having become the "power behind the throne".

Religious Orders

There are a number of Elunian monastic orders, each archiving, copying, and scrivening. In Tamplonia, the monastic Ferdinandians study magic.
