“The Rings of Branaut Manor”
Continuing Game 118

Invitations have been posted in all noble courts, temples, and taverns of good repute in Roudoigne, Chardreau, Allondell, and in parts of other nearby countries. Written on the finest parchment in an elaborate, looping script, it reads,

Greetings to all, from the barony of Branaut! As summer draws to a close, pivotal events are stirring here, and my court is holding a celebration to honor the occasion. I would like to invite my noble peers, revered members of the clergy, honorable men-at-arms, wise scholars, and other men and women of noble spirit to join us in our revelry. On the 11th of September I shall be hosting a feast, with entertainment preceding; a rousing hunt will be held for the pleasure of our more martial friends — as well as for our meal! — and my nephew Tristin will be showcasing some of his historical discoveries for those of a more scholarly bent. We hope you will join us in our festivities, and for the momentous decision I shall announce at the end of the evening. There — perhaps a little mystery will entice you to attend, if the promised diversions and feasting could not! I look forward to meeting you all at my manor in Frenesbourg on the 11th of the month.

- Baroness Liliane de Branaut

Rumors have been thick in the air since the postings first appeared, though no consensus has been reached about the announcement to which the invitation refers. Several whispers mention, however, that representatives from the Collegium have been in contact with the Baroness for several months, and many wonder if this small portside barony might some role to play in the current Crusade.
