"It's a rescue mission– you’ll love it...”
Spring has come to Hesket– even to the nightmare-shrouded land of Bilgosh. As the snows recede and the days grow longer, the gathered forces of the Crusade against the dark overlord Emilian have begun to mobilize for a strong attack. Perhaps you have come to help as a sage, a healer, or a scout – perhaps you have even pinned the bells to your own tunic and joined the warriors of the Crusade. Rumors trail through the camps, as the armies prepare; plans, hopes, and memories all twine together. This year will be different, they say; this year, after so many harsh defeats, the forces of the Crusade will see a great victory.
Over the past week, recruiters from the Collegium have circulated through the war-camps, meeting with adventurers of every specialty. They speak only in veiled references, of a planned mission that requires assistance, but rumors swirl around them like crows over a bloody battlefield. There are tales of an ancient monastery whose foundations predate the rise of Sturia, a stronghold thought lost to the darkness – and now rumored to (somehow) remain unbroken. There are tales of a powerful weapon, a saint's relic from the first crusade against the Marakhs, which should have been seized by Emilian's agents – but now said to be unclaimed.
Whatever the Collegium plans, it is sure to be a dangerous mission. Some sources speak of an advance team led by a renowned knight- that vanished without a trace, or any survivors. Now, as they have in the past, it seems as if the Collegium has turned to freelance adventurers to take up the quest.
Are you brave enough to face the rising darkness? And are you strong enough to survive until the sun rises once more? Can you make a difference in the cursed lands of Bilgosh?

Please RSVP at cg122. You don’t have to tell the GMs which character you intend to play, but they would like to know how many people to expect (and since they kitchen staff will be preparing some of the food in advance, it will help plan how many people to feed). Limited RPC opportunities are available, and if you would like to be on staff, there are some openings; please contact the GMs if you are interested.
There will be snacks available during the day, and a light dinner, but players should eat lunch before check-in. If you have any food allergies or other dietary concerns, please contact the GMs in advance.
This game is set amidst the crusade against the unholy Overlord of Bilgosh, Emilian; new players may wish to consult a summary of events leading up to this game.
For more information or to RSVP please contact GMs Matthew Northrop or Carol Lubkowski (cg122). You must be 18 years or older to participate in this (or any) Quest event.
