Character Survey 2002-2003
This survey represents all characters who attended events between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2003.
Note that the characters in the survey gained and spent experience over this period, but the only data available were the character points as of December 31, 2003. As it is difficult, if not impossible, to determine characters' point values as of past events, this survey simply assumes that characters had their current point values throughout all 2002-2003 events. Their actual stats at these events will therefore have been slightly lower.
The results shown in "An Average Event" below are derived by evenly sampling the data, but by necessity involved considerable rounding. Values are approximate.

We had 336 PCs, represented by 192 distinct characters showing up an average of .875 times per year. 62% of all distinct characters appeared only once in the two-year period.
With 14 events during this time period, that means the average event had 24 PCs.

About 20 of these 57 were created specifically for "FPC parties" at CG 74 or 78.
Status
19.3% of all PCs have some Status: 10.1% have Social Distinction and 9.2% have Prominence.
Of those with Status, 12.5% got "one-time approval" and then never applied to the GWC. It is reasonable to suppose that these characters are unlikely to be played again.
